Following the strong market response to the first phase, Terra Heights, Emaar Properties and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) have unveiled Terra Gardens, a new residential project at Expo City Dubai. The launch marks a significant step in the ongoing development of the former Expo 2020 site into a sustainable, mixed-use community.
Terra Gardens will feature 560 apartments and townhouses. It is the second of five planned residential communities within the Expo Living masterplan, which will ultimately comprise 3,555 units alongside retail, office, and leisure spaces centred around the upcoming Expo Mall. The entire community is set to span over 450,000 square metres, incorporating landscaped courtyards, jogging and cycling tracks, and wellness facilities.
“With the launch of Terra Gardens, we are taking the next step in realising the vision of Expo Living as a dynamic, sustainable and connected community,” said Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Executive Director at Emaar Properties.
The project underscores the growing demand for housing in Dubai’s emerging urban corridors, a trend that has contributed to a record-breaking real estate market in 2025. The development aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, which emphasizes sustainability and transit-oriented communities.
Amer Al Farsi, Vice President of Real Estate Development at DWTC, described the launch as “an important step towards shaping the future of Expo City Dubai,” by integrating residential, retail, and commercial elements into a single masterplan. The launch further cements Emaar’s presence at the site, which has seen other key developments such as the awarding of the main contract for Sidr Residences at Expo City Dubai, also scheduled for completion in 2027.
