In a groundbreaking move, Manchester City has expanded its presence in the UAE beyond football by entering the real estate market. The club has signed an agreement with Ohana Development to launch Manchester City Yas Residences, a landmark residential development that integrates the club’s brand and identity into a premium living environment.
The project, located on the Yas Canal waterfront, represents a significant milestone for both the football club and Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector. While specific pricing and launch timelines remain undisclosed, the development promises to offer more than just a residential space—it aims to create a comprehensive lifestyle experience.
“This development will bring Manchester City into a premium residential setting, using the club’s global appeal and strong regional footprint in a new way,” said Ferran Sorriano, Chief Executive of City Football Group.
Manchester City’s deep-rooted connection with Abu Dhabi extends far beyond this residential project. The club has been actively involved in local community initiatives, including:
- City Football Schools programmes serving over 3,500 children annually
- Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup, the region’s largest youth football tournament
- Healthy Lifestyles Programme reaching 30,000 primary school children last year
Husein Salem, Chief Executive of Ohana Development, emphasized that the project reflects a long-term commitment to Abu Dhabi, designed to create a “future-ready residential community” that aligns with the emirate’s evolving lifestyle and real estate ambitions.
This innovative collaboration marks a new chapter in sports-branded real estate, potentially setting a precedent for future international football club partnerships in the region.
