Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) has announced a major US$350 million development plan for Dubai Healthcare City, featuring a groundbreaking LEED platinum-certified office building and a purpose-built medical complex. Construction is set to begin in December 2025, with completion scheduled for November 2027.
The first phase of the development includes several key infrastructure projects designed to enhance Dubai’s healthcare ecosystem. The flagship office building, designed by P&T Architects and Engineers, will be the first of its kind in Dubai Healthcare City, spanning 13,000 square metres across three basement levels and nine floors.
Issam Galadari, CEO of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, emphasized the strategic importance of the project:
“Our upcoming development plan reflects our commitment to shaping the future of healthcare infrastructure in Dubai. By creating an ecosystem that attracts investments and fosters innovation while integrating sustainability, we are aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the UAE Net Zero Strategy 2050.”
The development also includes a purpose-built medical complex designed by Design and Architecture Bureau (DAR), covering 5,800 square metres. This anchor project will provide adaptable spaces for surgical facilities, laboratories, diagnostics, outpatient services, medical offices, and support services.
Additional infrastructure features include multi-storey car parks equipped with electric vehicle charging stations, Salik-integrated smart parking, and full accessibility features. Allae Almanini, Chief Operating Officer at DHCA, noted that these projects will “enhance accessibility, sustainability, and efficiency across the community”.
The development underscores Dubai’s ongoing commitment to positioning itself as a global healthcare and wellness destination, with a strong emphasis on sustainable and innovative infrastructure.
